You may have heard that NECA Now 2021 will be held virtually. NECA Now is a member-favorite conference, with sessions focused on leadership development with courses presented by top business experts, and plenary sessions with the professional and personal development information you need, delivered by nationally known keynote speakers. This year, NECA staff has emphasized creating a more connected virtual event, providing additional networking opportunities and platforms to bring attendees together and enable interaction.
In order to encourage members of the Southern Sierras Chapter to participate, the Board of Directors has decided that the Chapter will cover the $400 registration fee for one representative per member company. You can register quickly and easily online here.
Also, as a reminder, our negotiating committee will enter negotiations with Local #477 next week. Lastly, I'd like to note that the Chapter plans to transition the processing of payroll reports to a third-party administrator, United Administrative Services (UAS) this spring/summer. We will also be switching from EPR Live back to the NECA Star platform. Initial steps are being taken by our staff, and we will work to ensure as smooth a transition as possible. I will keep you posted on a timeline for the transition as we get further into the project.
